Core Tip |
3D printed titanium cups may theoretically provide a porous rough surface, improving the local vascularization and osseointegration, while avoiding stress shielding due to low elastic modulus. We herein discuss the manufacturing, the main features and the clinical results of the 3D printed titanium cups, aiming to focus on the open questions and the possible future developments to improve this new-born device and technology. |
