Liquid biopsy represents allows to access tumoral components and genetic material from fluid samples. In patients affected by cholangiocarcinoma could play a major role as minimally invasive screening and diagnostic biomarkers, prognostic tools and therapeutic monitoring targets but its role in the clinical practice is still marginal and further research is necessary. |
