Core Tip |
Detection of Chlamydia psittaci (C. psittaci) infections relies on traditional antigen-based immunoassays or serological testing that often lack sensitivity and/or specificity. Our data not only reinforce that metagenomic next generation sequencing represents a valuable tool for rapid, sensitive, and accurate pathogen detection, including the identification of C. psittaci, but also raise public health concerns over C. psittaci infections. |
