Postoperative delirium is a severe clinical syndrome characterized, which may induce long-term cognitive impairment, death/disability. The randomized, double-blind, and placebo-controlled trial indicated that perioperative rosuvastatin treatment can significant decrease the incidence of delirium after an elective operation under general anesthesia, and decrease the hospitalization time and hospitalization expenses, while did not improve the clinical outcomes. |
