| Core Tip |
An association between interleukin (IL) 28B genetic polymorphism and sustained virological response rate in patients with chronic hepatitis C treated with pegylated interferon-? and ribavirin or spontaneous hepatitis C virus clearance has been established. However, the association between IL28B genetic polymorphism and hepatitis B virus infection remains unclear. We discuss this topic and summarize the available clinical data. |
