There has always been lack of a unified definition, a special fracture classification system, and absolutely superior operative approaches and implant internal fixation techniques for quadrilateral plate (QP) fractures of the acetabulum, so the open reduction and fixation strategies have been controversial and no consensus has been reached yet. In this paper, the above-mentioned contents about QP fractures of the acetabulum were reviewed for better grasping the history, current situation and future development of QP fractures of the acetabulum. |
