Core Tip |
Sirolimus is considered as a first-line drug in treating patients with blue rubber bleb naevus syndrome currently. We present herein, the youngest age of medication of successful, long-term treatment with sirolimus. This case finds two situations, firstly the recommended doses of 0.1 mg/kg/d resulted with plasma concentration was far beyond the expected of 10-15 ng/mL in neonates, secondly a high plasma concentration of more than 20 ng/mL is associated with a great improvement in the condition. We highlight the dosing regimen and plasma concentration is special in neonates. |
