With the automation of test and its inclusion in the complete metabolic profile, the knowledge as it pertains to its interpretation is of paramount importance. It is also important for the clinician to understand the difference between cholestatic and hepatocellular abnormalities. This can be of help for the clinician to formulate appropriate further diagnostic workup and plan the treatment. |
