Core Tip |
Eight patients diagnosed with spondylodiscitis complicated with iliopsoas muscle abscess were managed with minimally invasive percutaneous computed tomography-guided drainage, placement of a drain, and proper antibiotic treatment in an outpatient setting. Complete recession of the symptoms with no recurrence after 6 mo was observed. The minimally invasive outpatient management of iliopsoas muscle abscess is a safe and effective approach with a high success rate and low morbidity. |
