Core Tip |
This is a retrospective study that compares a single institution’s experience with that of a systematic literature review to evaluate the common clinical symptoms and presentation of heterotopic pancreas. To date, there have been numerous small volume studies in the literature reporting heterotopic pancreas. However, these studies predominantly report asymptomatic or incidental cases and there are few studies characterizing the symptomatic presentation of this disease. The goal of this study is to classify symptomatic cases of heterotopic pancreas to better identify the presentation and management of this disease. |
