Core Tip |
Low-grade appendiceal mucinous neoplasm (LAMN) is an extremely rare disease. It is easy to be misdiagnosed before surgery. We reported the treatment process of an asymptomatic case of LAMN diagnosed by magnetic resonance imaging and surgical findings. This case indicated that for female patients who were clinically diagnosed with an "adnexal mass" at admission, we should pay more attention. The physical examination should be done carefully, and the laboratory and imaging examination results should be comprehensively analyzed to reduce the rate of misdiagnosis, and to ensure early diagnosis and treatment for improvement of patient prognosis. |
