Core Tip |
Most chronic granulomatous diseases (CGDs) present with life-threatening recurrent bacterial and fungal infections, usually diagnosed in childhood. We describe a newborn with CGD that initially showed gastrointestinal symptoms. CGD cases with gastrointestinal manifestations as the first sign are very rare. To the best of our knowledge, this might be the youngest case of confirmed CGD with gastrointestinal involvement. |
