Core Tip |
This cross-sectional study revealed that advanced age, male sex, alcohol intake, obesity, and other metabolic-related factors, such as hypertension, hypertriglyceridemia, and hyperuricemia, were independent risk factors for colonic diverticulosis. The prevention and management of these risk factors may aid in reducing the risk of colonic diverticulosis development and decreasing the incidence of colonic diverticulosis. |
