Core Tip |
In this hospital-based cross-sectional study, the data of 300 pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) patients were subjected to analysis. The ratio of malnutrition in tuberculosis-depression syndemic patients was 45.33%. We found that body mass index and poor social function were independently associated with depression. Our present findings suggest that the early diagnosis and management of depression in patients with PTB can decrease the burden of malnutrition and improve outcomes. |
