Wide worldwide disparities exist regarding the chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection cascade of care (CoC), and it is most evident between high-income countries and areas with scarce resources. An integrative strategy encompassing efficient pediatric HCV diagnosis and treatment as well as prevention is needed. Addressing health care disparities by insightfully applying successful outcomes from high-income countries in certain disadvantaged regions with poor CoCs may help to achieve the elimination goal set by achieve the World Health Organization HCV. |
