Primary signet-ring cell carcinoma (SRCC) of the colorectum is extremely rare clinically. This type of colorectal cancer has certain clinical, pathological and biological characteristics that are different from ordinary colorectal cancer. We report a rare case of ulcerative colitis leading to diffuse infiltrating SRCC of the colorectum, and review the relevant literature studying the disease. |
