Do patients with an ascending aorta diameter < 5.5 cm undergo more aggressive surgery for prevention of acute type A aortic dissection (ATAAD)? Most of the patients (72.0%) with ATAAD had an ascending aorta diameter < 5.5 cm. An international taskforce should adapt the new data extracted from the most recent scientific evidence in the surgical treatment of the ascending aortic aneurysm. |
