Therapeutic hypothermia; Hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy; Hemostatic disorders; Intracranial hemorrhage; Magnetic resonance imaging |
Core Tip |
It has not been yet elucidated if the initiation of therapeutic hypothermia (TH) contributes significantly to better outcomes in cases with already confirmed intracranial hemorrhage and hemostatic disorders. In such cases a close follow up with brain magnetic resonance imaging before and after the initiation of TH and repeated laboratory and clinical examinations may promptly identify neonates requiring emergent neurosurgical intervention. |
