Core Tip |
Acute aortic dissection (AAD) is a high mortality condition that can lead to acute ischemic stroke (AIS). A patient was treated with thrombolytic therapy in a local hospital for AIS but his symptoms did not improve and progressed to a large cerebral infarction. The patient was eventually diagnosed with AAD. This is a rare case and we should rule out AAD before thrombolysis in patients with cerebral infarction. |
