Core Tip |
There is a mutual relation between coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and autoimmune diseases. Patients with immune deficiencies or autoimmune disorders are at a higher risk for infection with COVID-19, as they are frequently treated with anti-cytokine, glucocorticoids, and immunosuppressive drugs. Meanwhile, COVID-19 and its vaccine could trigger the development of autoimmune diseases. Therefore, a multi-purpose comprehensive social and family program with exercise and psychological support is highly needed for patients with autoimmune disorders to lessen the harmful effects of social isolation impeded during the COVID-19. |
