Core Tip |
This is a very rare case of the refractory esophageal thermal injury which required the esophagectomy. In general, there are several non-surgical options available to treat benign esophageal stricture. However, considering the curability and quality-of-life associated with a long expected prognosis, we determined that esophagectomy with ileocolon interposition was the most proper treatment option for this young patient. |
