Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) disease. Although SARS-CoV-2 infection predominantly offends the respiratory system, it leads to various cardiovascular complications as well. SARS-CoV-2 infected patients with a history of cardiovascular disease exhibit poor outcomes. The main COVID-19 related cardiovascular complications include acute coronary syndromes, myocarditis, heart failure, and arrhythmias. |
