We investigated the role of ACEi and ARB in preventing the recurrence of atrial arrhythmias following the cryoballoon ablation (CBA) for paroxysmal AF. Outcomes of 103 patients were evaluated in a retrospective chart review. In our study population, pre-ablation treatment with an ACEi or an ARB had no influence on the recurrence of AA following CBA for paroxysmal AF. To our knowledge, this study is the first of its kind which has examined the effect of ACEi/ARB use in this exclusive subset of patients. |
