Since May 13, 2022, cases of monkeypox have been reported to the World Health Organization (WHO) from 12 Member States that are not endemic to the monkeypox virus across three WHO regions. This emergent pathogen is a significant concern worldwide after severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 and requires epidemiological and other data on the virus. The objective of this review is to report comprehensive data on this virus. |
