Core Tip |
Factors crucial to the regulation of cuproptosis remain unelucidated. Using transcriptome data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA-LIHC), we developed a cuproptosis- and prognosis-related long-chain non-coding RNAs signature (CupRLSig) for hepatocellular carcinoma. The high-risk group identified by CupRLSig was associated with poorer overall survival and progression-free survival. Less activation of natural killer cells and more infiltration of regulatory T cells in the high-risk group may explain the worse outcomes. Interestingly, based on checkpoint gene expression (CD276, CTLA-4, and PDCD-1) and tumor immune dysfunction and rejection, high-risk patients may respond better to immunotherapy. |
