Core Tip |
We report our diagnostic and treatment experience on a unique case of malignant transformation of perianal tailgut cyst. Since perianal tailgut cysts are difficult to differentiate from other perianal diseases, the reported case was initially misdiagnosed as perianal abscess with repeated incision and drainage procedures. In our hands, the patient not only underwent complete resection, but also received salvage chemotherapy for its recurrence for three months after the surgery. |
