Core Tip |
The study showed that the detection rate of colonoscopy dropped significantly in France during the years 2019 and 2020, probably due to the coronavirus disease health crisis. The risk of a long delay (> 7 mo) in performing the colonoscopy was twice as high in a public hospital compared to colonoscopies performed in a private endoscopy practice. The constraints likely affected the time to colonoscopy as well as the colonoscopy detection rate without impacting the occurrence of serious adverse events. |
