Core Tip |
In this systematic review of enteral clonidine use during dexmedetomidine weaning in critically ill patients, an association of increased withdrawal symptoms and agitation with the use of a clonidine taper and no difference in intensive care unit length of stay with or without clonidine taper was observed. However, varied techniques and a small total sample size restrict utility of the findings. |
