Core Tip |
Obtaining adequate bowel preparation is challenging when treating a patient with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) undergoing colonoscopy. Colonoscopy has multidimensional value ranging from diagnosis to disease surveillance and cancer screening. Although numerous data are available on bowel preparations in the general population, it is still unclear which preparation is the best for both efficacy and safety in patients with IBD. In addition, the factors that increase the risk of suboptimal preparation in IBD patients remain unclear. |
