Key Words Gastrointestinal stromal tumor; Proteomics; TATA-box-binding protein-associated factor 15; Biomarker; Cell proliferation; Cell migration
Core Tip TATA-box-binding protein-associated factor 15 (TAF15) was upregulated in Gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) cells and tissues, and was associated with a poor prognosis of GIST patients. TAF15 promotes cell proliferation and migration of GIST in vitro and tumour growth in vivo via the activation of RAF1/MEK/ERK signaling pathway. Therefore, TAF15 is expected to be a novel potential molecular biomarker or therapeutic target of GIST.
