Core Tip |
Hepatic epithelioid angiomyolipoma (HEA) is rare, with no specific clinical and imaging manifestations, has the potential of malignancy. In the presence of liver diseases such as cirrhosis, it is easily misdiagnosed as a malignant liver tumor. Characteristic imaging may help to diagnose HEA, but the diagnosis must be made by needle biopsy or histopathology. If conditions allow, active surgical treatment is recommended. |
