Core Tip |
Gastric cancer (GC) is a prevalent digestive system malignancy that commonly results in upper gastrointestinal bleeding (UGIB). Surgery is the primary treatment modality for GC. Radical gastrectomy and palliative therapy are commonly adopted surgical procedures. This present study investigated the clinical efficacy and safety of palliative therapy and exploratory laparotomy + radical gastrectomy in patients with GC and acute UGIB. The outcomes of the study showed that exploratory laparotomy + radical gastrectomy improved surgical efficacy, enhanced survival rates, lowered the probability of tumor recurrence, and bettered the prognosis of patients. |
