| Core Tip |
Due to the synergistic effect of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, the enhanced anti-tumor effect has achieved commendable remission rate and survival benefit. We reported two patients who achieved pathological complete remission (ypCR) with programmed death protein 1 inhibitor combined with SOX (S-1+ oxaliplatin) perioperative treatment. Surprisingly, two patients underwent clinical observation after surgery but developed different degrees of metastasis at about six months after surgery. Moreover, achieving a ypCR reflects a superb short-term treatment response but does not necessarily predict long-term survival. |
