Core Tip |
Gastric cancer (GC) is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths globally, highlighting the need for novel biomarker for improved evaluation. The long noncoding RNAs metastasis-associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1 (MALAT1) plays a crucial role in many cellular processes associated with GC progression, including proliferation, invasion, metastasis, and drug response. The current review summarizes the present knowledge of MALAT1 in GC, elucidating its molecular mechanisms of action and potential as a biomarker for the clinical management of GC. |
