| Core Tip |
Our previous study found that peritoneal lavage with distilled water may cause a sudden decrease in heart rate (HR) in some patients during clinical gastrectomy, which was related to telomerase-associated protein 1 and homo sapiens RecQ like helicase 5 gene polymorphisms. Here, instead of Sanger sequencing, we developed a single-tube method using two-dimensional polymerase chain reaction to genotyping single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) quickly and economically. We also investigated whether genotypes, genetic patterns and the interaction effects of SNP-SNP and SNP-environment were associated with a risk of high HR variability. This study helps clinicians to better assess the perioperative risk of patients undergoing gastrectomy. |
