Polypoid endometriosis (PEM) is a rare and unique type of endometriosis that is a benign disease but has biological properties similar to those of malignant tumours. We reported a case of rapidly growing PEM possibly attributed to the discontinuation of gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist. We provide complete ultrasound findings, magnetic resonance imaging findings, intraoperative pictures and postoperative pathology data. We conducted a systematic review of the clinical features, imaging features, and pathology of PEM by reviewing the literature. |
