Core Tip |
Hypertension is a chronic medical condition characterized by elevated blood pressure in the arteries. It poses a significant threat to global public health and contributes to the overall burden of disease and mortality worldwide. The relationship between microbes and the pathogenesis of hypertension is an area of ongoing research, and while there is no definitive conclusion, some studies have suggested a potential connection between certain microbes and the development of hypertension. However, this article summarizes the current knowledge of microbes in the pathogenesis of hypertension which includes bacterial infection, viral infection and protozoa infection. |
