Core Tip |
Inflammatory pseudotumor (IPT) is a rare and benign lesion that can develop in any part of the body. Although the pathophysiology remain unclear, it is thought to develop in the setting of infection, inflammation, autoimmunity, trauma, etc. In this case report, we are the first to highlight the development of IPT in the liver in a patient following a recent influenza infection. Our case report emphasizes the importance of including IPT in the differential in a patient who presents with symptoms and radiologic findings concerning for malignancy shortly after a viral infection, such as Influenza. |
