Core Tip |
Intestinal microbiota disorder plays an important role in the pathogenesis of autoimmune hepatitis (AIH), which one of main characters is the hypofunction of memory regulatory T (mTreg) cells maintained immune tolerance. The interaction between Treg cells and intestinal microbiota may provide a feasible therapeutic strategy of AIH. As a well-known traditional Chinese medicine, Pien Tze Huang (PTH) can effectively treat AIH in clinic. However, its mechanism still kept unclear. In the present study, PTH regulates intestinal microbiota balance and restore mTreg cells to alleviates experimental AIH, which is closely related to toll-like receptor/CXCL16/CXCR6/nuclear factor-κB signaling pathway. |
