Core Tip |
In our study, we've shed light on a critical yet often overlooked connection between prediabetes and major adverse cardiac and cerebrovascular events (MACCE) in atrial fibrillation (AF) patients. Our research revealed that AF patients with prediabetes are at significantly higher risk of experiencing MACCE, highlighting the importance of identifying and managing prediabetes in this population. This finding emphasizes the need for proactive screening and targeted interventions to reduce the burden of MACCE in AF patients with prediabetes. Further research and dedicated efforts are essential to enhance care and outcomes for these individuals. |
