| Core Tip |
This study revealed that gut microbiota in the Han population is significantly different from the Dai population in healthy children, healthy adults, and patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). There was a significant difference in gut microbiota between healthy children and healthy adults in the Han population, but the difference was less in the Dai population. A significant increase in Bacteroidetes was observed in T2DM patients in the Han population, while a significant increase in Proteobacteria was observed in T2DM patients in the Dai population when compared to healthy controls. |
