The role and mechanism of hepatic uridine diphosphate glucuronosyltransferase 1A1 (UGT1A1) in the progression of liver injury are still not fully understood. This study found that inhibiting compensatory upregulation of UGT1A1 promotes the progression of liver injury. The mechanism may be related to low levels of UGT1A1 exacerbating endoplasmic reticulum stress and oxidative stress, and disrupting lipid metabolism, thereby exacerbating hepatocyte apoptosis and necroptosis. |
