Keloids can lead to dysfunction and aesthetic deformities Pathogenesis is influenced by genetic, environmental and immune responses. The evolution of keloid treatment has shifted from traditional surgical excision to modern therapies, including injections and radiation therapy. The article emphasizes the need for continued research to better understand keloid development and improve therapeutic strategies for this complex condition.
