Core Tip |
Evidence suggests that diabetic patients who have experienced homelessness are at higher risk of being diagnosed with mental illness, and that social support services are impactful in the management of the comorbidity of diabetes and mental health problems. Studies on the effectiveness of critical time intervention (CTI) among patients with diabetes are limited. Available studies have shown that CTI is a promising intervention for alleviating mental health symptoms in homeless patients. |
