Core Tip The common options utilized in the management of the lateral end of the clavicle remain plate and screw construct. Among the myriad options available, anatomical pre-contoured locking plates with and without coracoclavicular suture reconstruction remain the commonly used implant. However, considering the cost and ease of moulding non-locking reconstruction plates, and hook plates have also been used. Among the plate positions, both superior and anterior placement provide similar clinical outcomes with their advantages and disadvantages.
