Core Tip |
We present the case of a 50-year-old male whose breast lump was excised, confirming the diagnosis of granulomatous mastitis (GM), which occurs in males is very rare. Hormonal imbalances, autoimmunity, and bacterial infections may be associated with GM, for males, hormonal imbalances are most common. A standardized treatment protocol for GM is yet to be established. Male breast cancer and other diseases that cause breast granulomatous should be considered in the differential diagnosis. |
