Core Tip |
Risk stratification for post-operative recurrence of Crohn’s disease (CD) remains a clinical challenge. We evaluated the prognostic value of pre-operative radiographic mesenteric parameters for post-operative recurrence of CD. Of the parameters evaluated, lower visceral adipose tissue radiodensity was independently associated with post-operative recurrence. Visceral adipose tissue radiodensity may be a novel imaging prognostic marker to help risk stratify for post-operative recurrence of CD during pre-operative work up. |
