Core Tip |
Chronic diarrhea and constipation are two common conditions that interfere with daily life. Herein, we identified a positive association between the triglyceride glucose index, a marker of insulin resistance (IR), and chronic diarrhea in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey database. These results suggest that early and comprehensive management of IR may be beneficial for maintaining normal bowel health. Further investigations should be conducted on the underlying pathological mechanisms. |
