Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) has become a major cause of morbidity and mortality from liver disease and is the most common cause of chronic liver disease, with a global prevalence of 25% and a 50.4% increase in prevalence in the last three decades. To the best of our knowledge, this is the largest study investigating the comorbidities and outcomes of coronavirus disease 2019 hospitalizations with NAFLD and different levels of obesity. |
