| Core Tip |
In total hip arthroplasty (THA), dual mobility (DM) bearings have drawn interest as a means of managing instability, especially in revision instances. Post-THA instability is a serious issue that could result in discomfort and changes. DM bearings lower the danger of dislocation and improve stability. While wear-related problems are concerning, new research shows positive results. Clinical evaluation and imaging tests, such as computed tomography and X-rays, are necessary for diagnosis. Long-term trials are required to determine durability, but current literature indicates favorable results in primary THA, including improved stability and patient satisfaction. |
